Why Is Sex The Mecca of Focus In America?
The question that presents itself today is: Does sex really matter? We all fight temptation everyday, trying not to be sinful children of God. But when sex comes with so much extra baggage, who would want to run after it so eagerly? Not only does sex come with emotional hang-ups, it also comes with venereal diseases as well. For men, I can say the thrill does not seem to amount to the orgasm that a woman receives. Our orgasm are like 10 seconds of eternal bliss. We work hard to get to that point, while females on the other hand like to take it slower (some females).
Look at it like this: Men are like microwaves and women are like ovens. One heats up fast, you eat it and it's done. Women take longer to heat up, causing more anticipation for the result. Are you getting me, or am I sounding like a food critic (to some degree)?
When sex is so powerful that a man who is "in love" with his wife (and gentlemen, there is a difference between in-love and love for) would risk throwing it all away for 5 minutes (sometimes shorter) of ecstasy, there has to be a line drawn in the sand of American's thinking. Why is sex so powerful?
Why can Beyonce receive more video plays and radio play than India.Arie? Why is it always physical before emotional? I know I'm asking a boatload of questions, but damnit, this is annoying me.
I wouldn't say that sex is the last thing I think of (as a man, I must admit, sex does cross my mind a lot), but it most definitely is not the first thing I think about. And if my wife stood by me and was there to support my dreams, goals and physically satisfied me, why cheat? Humans are so weak...
On to other news. I started my diet today at 7:00AM. By 8:00Am I was ordering two number 8's from McDonalds (no, I'm serious, I did).
But to close this blog, we, as humans, should have more self control and fight temptation... Love, peace and empathy to all. Write, inspire, learn and build upon knowledge.

you gotta point. why is sex such a big deal? im not talking about female-male sex, im also talking about male-male amd female-female sex. ppl 2day are making such abig deal out of it. my thing if the situation isnt about you, dont worry about it. my bro is gay & when he talke w/my g-pa and told him, g-pa said"its not too late to change" . he says (g-pa) same sex is a sin, but isnt judging a sin? |

I wont judge anyone who has temptation, because I know it's (temptation) a bitch. But I also do believe that pure sex is... not right. If you are in a relationship-an honest relationship- then you shouldn't have to worry about AIDS, heartbreak and other types of things. Sex is over rated, period. I don't know if the temptation a homosexual receives is the same as the one I feel for women, but women outnumber men like- 3-1. I can pass on sex, there are a lot more fish in the sea. And I mean that literally. |

Not only physically satisfy, but emotionally as well though. I dont know about men, but women NEED to feel loved. Especially when ur in a commited relationship, us women expect a lot from it. Its not just sex but its much much more than that. And when the woman doesnt feel satisfied emotionally, it makes them run into the arms of another man. Not for the sex, but b-cuz of what the other person has to offer emotionally. Does that make sense? And I say this b-cuz I've been there. It scared my relationship for life... I am not at all saying that cheating is right when u are in that situation, I was just making a comment. But u ARE right, humans are weak. I think that if a person doesnt satisfy you physically OR emotionally, its best to just break it off. Why hurt someone by cheating...it makes no sense. I learn from my mistakes Love, Jazmin

You're right. And it's both man and woman's job to give attention to their mate. Hell, it should go beyond a job to a joy. I know relationships get rocky from time to time. At one point my girlfriend and I seemed to argue for everything. But when I sat and thought about why I was with her, it changed my mood. We are together because we are opposites. I can't get angry when she doesn't agree with me on EVERYTHING! That's why I love her. So, I learned to talk to her and bond with her out of joy for who she is and not as a job. |
